Words That You Need to Know for the Exam D&T - Product Design. These are sheets covering clips 1-3 of the words that you need to know. This resource comprises; 1 x A3 sheet with 18 words 3 x A4 sheets with 6 words each these can be used as a revision resource, or I use them as home learning by placing the Youtube clip in the classroom, students learn the words and the complete a sheet of six words at the start of the lesson the clips can be found in Mr Ridley’s Design and Technology

This resource covers types of metals, ferrous and non-ferrous, and alloys for GCSE D&T or perhaps KS3. This comprises an A3 worksheet and an A5 Learning check sheet. this sheet was created as an introduction to metals for GCSE D&T and to complement my YouTube clip " Types of Metals" the seven minute clip contains all you need to complete the sheet. This could be set as home learning if a link to the clip could be provided for students.

Here is a home learning task for students to complete to consolidate their understanding of the process of the conversion of timber. This is a is required for all of the GCSE D&T specifications. this consists of an A3 homework sheet and also an additional A5 support sheet, I have also included the support sheet as an A4 sheet which could be used as part of an accompanying lesson. A set of questions on an A3 sheet based around wood processes, the sheet contains two drawing type questions as these are common in most of the GCSE specifications. this sheet could be used as a lesson covering GCSE D&T generally or as part of a revision study lesson. A home learning resource for GCSE D&T involving a brands investigation. This is a major home learning task that covers brands , typically this could be set over a half term as a longer home learning task. This then covers this area which is a GCSE requirement in all GCSE D&T specifications. Included is an A3 worksheet and a copy of an exemplar completed task. An set of teaching materials for a complete lesson that investigate the function and sustainability of packaging by making comparisons between two different types of packaging available for clothes washing pods. the sheets contain GCSE style questions relating to the properties of materials and sustainability. This sheet is supported by a YouTube walkthrough of questions and also a clip explaining the packaging of detergent pods. the main sheet is supplied in A3 or A4 format. there is an additional learning check sheet with two sheets on an A4 sheet, which can be used to check unterstaning the following lesson. GCSE D&T Exam Design Question Barbeque Tools An A3 sheet containing GCSE style questions relating to the design of products. These questions relate to processes of manufacturing materials and ergonomic design. This sheet is supported by a YouTube walkthrough and also a clip relating to ergonomics of barbeque tools. This can be used a a part of a GCSE D&T lesson

Ergonomics For GCSE D&T A pack of resources covering Ergonomics and Anthropometrics for GCSE Design & Technology. This consists of two A3 worksheets and an A5 learning check which can be completed later to check and consolidate learning. The worksheets are supported by two clips on my Youtube channel which show the important Ergonomic features of two example Products toothbrushes and Barbeque tools. These sheets could be used as a two lesson mini project to introduce Ergonomics and Anthropometrics for GCSE. Some tasks on the sheet could be set as Home learning if supported by one of the YouTube Clips. Other Youtube clips are available on my channel.

Composite Materails GCSE D&T Question and Walkthrough A GCSE Design and Technology questions on Composite materials, complete with Youtube walkthrough . A4 GCSE type questions and an A5 learning check to use in a subsequent lesson. This is supported by a short walkthrough clip on my Youtube Channel. This would also be of some use for A level product design students.

**Sustainability and the Six R’s for KS3 ** Two worksheets and a lesson starter activity for a single KS3 lesson that covers Sustanable design ansnd the six R’s. These worksheets can be used together with Clips on my Youtube channel . There is a clip explaining the two toothbrushes and also a more general clip expilaining the six R’s. I would suggest starting the lesson off with the Six R’s cilp and completing the starter activity. Then watch the toothbrush comparison and complete the worksheet.

GCSE Design and Technology NEA Front Sheet for AQA This A3 frontsheet is used in the front of student folders to track progress through the NEA coursework. It also allows feedback to students in line with the exam boards guidelines. I created this for the AQA D&T NEA but it might work with other Exam boards.

Three sheets to assist students in compiling information to then produce the Design Brief & Specification sheet for their GCSE NEA. I use these over a couple of lessons to allow students to gather the information to produce a high quality Specification and Design Brief nea sheet. The various exam boards do not allow providing frameworks for writing, however, I personally feel that if these are not given to students electronically but write on these sheets as they research in each area then use the booklet to compile the NEA sheets in their own style.

Here is a drawing exercise for GCSE D&T or Engineering. there are three tasks on the sheet that are based around creating Orthographic drawing from Isometric CAD images. This kind of task is common in GCSE exam papers. this sheet could be used as part of a drawing lesson or as cover work or a home learning task. There are explanations of similar tasks on my YouTube channel.

A set of A3 worksheets to guide student through the step by step process of creating 3rd angle orthographic drawings. these sheets are supported by dedicated Youtube clips showing each stage of producing these drawings. The worksheets together with the video clips will allow all students to produce high quality outcomes. A suggested model would be to set watching the YouTube clip as homework and use the worksheets as prompts in the lesson where students can use the CAD software.
